Revisiting NLP Models – NLP Anchoring
Anchoring in NLP is the ability to add a specific external event to an internal experience. In NLP Practice, “anchoring” refers to the process of associating an internal response with some external or internal trigger so that the response may be quickly, and easily, re-accessed.
For NLP Practitioners and even coaches with a little NLP knowledge, “Anchoring” is one of the fundamental tools of NLP which can be powerful in helping clients to have more confidence, enthusiasm and be more relaxed when meeting people. It is a simple way to allow you to change an unwanted feeling to a resourceful feeling in a matter of moments.
Anchoring and the anchoring process has many variations, simple anchors, sliding anchors, collapsing and even a Circle of Excellence, all these NLP approaches are a key part of the tool kit of NLP Practitioners and Coaches that have had some NLP training.
After a presentation, we will have a practice session to put the ideas of anchoring into practice.
