Karen Falconer is a leading figure in the field of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and serves as Chief Executive Officer of the Association for Neuro Linguistic Programming (ANLP), a prominent independent professional body supporting NLP practitioners and trainers worldwide.
With a career built on a blend of business acumen and deep commitment to NLP’s principles, Karen has been instrumental in shaping ANLP since she took the helm in 2005. Under her leadership, ANLP has grown into one of the most successful professional associations in the NLP community, recognised for its advocacy, ethical standards, and support for NLP professionals worldwide.
Karen’s professional background spans over two decades before her ANLP leadership, including substantial experience as a management accountant and running her own business delivering accounting services and training to small and medium-sized enterprises. This strong business foundation has informed her approach to organisational leadership and strategic development within ANLP.
A certified NLP Trainer and a Professional Certified mBIT coach, Karen combines practical expertise with her passion for the effective and ethical application of NLP. She is also Editor of Rapport Magazine, the Association’s flagship publication, and author of The NLP Professional, a book offering practical guidance on building a credible, ethical and successful NLP-focused practice.
Beyond her roles at ANLP, Karen is a founder member of initiatives such as the International NLP Research Committee and the NLP for Education Project, reflecting her commitment to advancing NLP’s impact in diverse settings.
