UKCPD are pleased to announce that a rollout of its brand new Digital Credential scheme will begin in April 2025.
Our CEO and Founder, Tony Nutley said:
“The launch of these two schemes has been years in the making, it signals yet another step in the development of UKCPD, its adoption of a powerful method that our members can use to showcase their professional achievements is a demonstration of our commitment to our members and how we support their ongoing professional development”.
Digital Credential Badges will be issued for all our Professional Qualifications, Certified CPD Workshops and Supervision events.
A Key Benefit of Digital Credential – Shareability.
Let’s be honest, when it comes to CPD, attending an event and maybe receiving a certificate is actually only the beginning. The real magic happens when learners share them. In a digital-first world, the act of posting a CPD credential isn’t just a pat on the back – it’s a bold, public signal of achievement. And more than that, it’s a catalyst for growth – for the learners knowledge and insight, but also their place in the marketplace, as potential employers see the posting of these verifiable credentials as a signal of their commitment to professional growth.
Statistically speaking, it seems that learners are significantly more likely to engage with their achievements when the process is simple, seamless, and social-media ready. In 2024 alone, learning providers saw a 26% year-on-year rise in referrals directly attributed to shared credentials.
Why does this matter? Because trust is built through people. A shared post with a verifiable credential carries far more weight than a polished C.V. It’s personal. It’s authentic. And it’s effective. As highlighted in our recent feature, The Benefits of Digital Credentials in Education and Professional Development, digital credentials are transforming how we engage with professional learning. They’re visual, verifiable, and – crucially – shareable.
One provider saw certificate sharing rates leap from 19% to 92%, resulting in a staggering 112% increase in referral traffic. Another reported a tripling of course completions – likely helped along by a touch of FOMO (fear of missing out). These aren’t one-off wins. They’re proof that when learners become ambassadors, everyone benefits.
Because here’s the truth: if you’ve earned a CPD certificate and you haven’t shared it… did it really happen? Post it. Celebrate it. And watch as the doors of opportunity opens for you.
Certified CPD Workshops & Digital Credentials
The best part of this new service is that it has been launched at the same time as our brand new Certified CPD programme – all our CPD Workshops are now certified by the ANLP.
We have partnered with the ANLP to have all our CPD events to be Certified CPD, the new ANLP Certified CPD Logo is a sign of quality in CPD provision. CPD events will always have a clear structure and clear learning outcomes.
So, each time you complete a CPD event, you will gain a Digital Credential which you will be able to share on LinkedIn etc.
Partner Provider – BCdiploma
UKCPD is pleased to have partnered with a leading industry provider, BCdiploma and its platform to manage and produce the Digital Credential Badges via its Blockchain software.
