UKCPD News – New AC Coach Accreditation

The UKCPD Team are celebrating as we have been approved for the new Association For Coaching – Coach Accreditation Scheme.

You may be aware of the new Association For Coaching Coach Accreditation scheme, in short, students that enrol and successfully complete an AC Accredited Training programme can now (with some additional work and supervision) go straight from the training to become not just a member, but a full AC Accredited Coach, with a full years membership as a bonus.

Obviously we applied, (for the Foundation Diploma AACT, Certificate ACCT and the Diploma ADCT) and the good news, no the excellent news is that we have passed and are one of the first provider to be accepted into the new scheme.

Here is just some of the feedback comments:

  • This is a strong course which emphasizes learning in depth not always found in Life and Personal Skills Coaching. The integrated First Aid for Mental Health course is particularly interesting and welcome.
  • Exceptionally experienced and qualified course team with a demonstrable commitment to provide breadth and depth to the program and support the participants
  • Clearly defined course structure and content, supported by a range of learning resources and workbooks, comprehensively mapped to AC Coaching Competencies.
  • Includes a good range of models and approaches, including two proprietary models, which will ensure breadth and depth of learning appropriate for ADCT
  • Exceeds the requirement, and includes a good range of models and approaches, which will add both breadth and depth to learning.
  • Excellent focus on providing learner support through regular calls, supervision and encouragement of continuous feedback.
  • There is significant attention to ensuring that learners remain motivated through regular one-to-one calls and an emphasis on supervision. This permits two-way communication and feedback and supports reflection.

A BIG thanks and congratulations to the entire team that add value in so many ways to the training and student support.

A mini workshop to explain this option to both current and past graduates will be forthcoming in the next week or so.

Once, a BIG thanks to all who support the College and its mission, onwards and upwards.
