This is a one day action and information packed skills and knowledge development workshop where we will be exploring just how and why the coaching process is so powerful in enabling real and lasting change.

During this workshop we will examine, explore and discuss the key elements that create a successful coaching session including:

The main coaching professional bodies have a set competencies they are based on what it takes to be a successful coach, these include knowledge, skills, attitude and understand. Having a deep appreciation of these from the very start of our coaching development is key to becoming a successful coach.

Just like all things in life, the best coaching has a clear structure to ensure maximum opportunity for change.

Contracting in this context is not about the paperwork, its about setting the scene for each and every individual session, this Session Contracting is key to enabling the client to gain clear and powerful outcomes at the very start of the journey of discovery.

In addition to the above, we will explore and practice the following 3 coaching models and approaches:

Originally developed as a training drill for students studying to become qualified professional coaches, the WHAT Coaching Methodâ„¢ has grown and developed into a model of in its own right with its own merits and underpinning ideas of how real change happens. The approach seems to keep the client highly engaged in the coaching process and focus their energies on WHAT they actually, what this outcome would do for them (the goal beyond the goal).

The GROW Model is probably the most well know coaching model. It’s a tried and tested coaching framework. It helps individuals and teams clarify objectives, understand their current situation, explore possibilities, and establish actionable steps for improvement.

The OSKAR Coaching Model is a solution-focused framework that emphasizes the idea that clients already are doing and creating some success. It helps clients define clear goals (Outcomes), measure progress (Scaling), leverage existing skills (Know-how), acknowledge achievements (Affirm and Action), and evaluate the process (Review), fostering continuous improvement and sustained success.

This is a highly interactive and participative workshop with breakout rooms, discussion groups and Co-coaching sessions.
